Rating by category:
I liked the size of the room and the natural light; I also liked the fact that some, but only some, of the original features (from 3 years ago) have been retained.
Poor cleaning schedule; inadequate glassware in room. Overall, I was disappointed that the atmosphere from the original hotel had been heavily diluted.
comfortable, well-appointed, close to a boulevard culture, quiet
Parking was awkward
The hotel staff were great, they were very flexible and allowed us to stay in the room after the checkout time.
The hotel does not service the rooms every day. We didnt realise this until we asked - we stayed 3 nights without the room being serviced which was a bit messy with 3 in the room.
the staff were great and the garden on the roof
I didn't like the room the hotel or the smells one night we couldn't sleep from the smell and had no way to contact the staff it was the worst thing and hotel i ever stayed in and I have been to many hotels backpacker and others. this was bad nothing worked also
Helpful staff, quiet room when windows closed. Nice rooftop terrace.
Hassle with daily tickets for wifi.
Very spacious, which was wonderful. Great city views. Nice bath and shower products.
Cookware was dirty.
Spacious. The heating and plumbing are quite good.
Furniture is old.
I enjoyed the stay the staff helpful loved the garden and style wish I booked to stay longer thank you if I come bac to aussi I would stay there
Rooms were spacious and there were tea and coffee making facilities.
Even though we were in a non smoking room, we could still smell smoke and our clothes ended up smelling of smoke when we returned home.
Quiet most of the time easy access to cbd and local shops etc. Bed was comfortable good sized room
The room smelt very strongly of cigarette smoke all the time - had to open the window to let in fresh air otherwise I would have had respiratory and sinus trouble. The smoke seemed to be coming through the air conditioning vent from elsewhere. Most unpleasant. This is why I would not recommend staying here to others. How about brightening the place up with lighter colours? It appears too dark and gloomy especialy in overcast weather. Thicker pillows for those who like their neck supported.
the room was a good size, bed were comfy and close to kings cross. the roof top garden was really cool, lovely sitting up there on a sunny afternoon.
Had to ask one particular staff several times for basic things for example towels. she was rude and took ages to get them delivered to our room. she was not very helpful. the room had a funny musty smell to it and the blinds on the windows were broken which was a pain in the morning
Excellent location, nice and quiet despite being right in the center of Potts Point/Kings Cross. Easy walking distance to train station, cafes and restaurants. Good value for money.
Unfortunately the first room we were shown to smelt strongly of smoke, despite being a non-smoking room. We were quickly found an alternative room but this had been heavily sprayed with air freshener which was almost as bad and did also have a smokey smell although not as bad as the first room. Fortunately we had great weather during our stay and were able to have the windows open. As the rooms are not serviced for a short stay they need more cleaning equipment and cloths/teatowels etc - we only had one little sponge/scourer. Staff happily gave us extra towels when we requested them.
The location is good, my room was big, the roof terrace is very nice, the neighbor supermarket is top.
The colors of my room and the corridor was very dark. The room should have been cleaned better.
The bed was very comfortable and very close to night life
There is no room service. The apartment is alot smaller then showed on photos.
A comfortable room, very handy to restaurants and transport, easy walking distance to the CBD
